No idea what Beau is doing in this picture, but he certainly looks happy!

Goodbye to Puppyhood!

On July 15th, the ever youthful Belle turned the big t-h-r-e-e!

She celebrated in style with some gourmet carob pup cakes from The Gourmet Bone which she graciously shared with Beau.

Belle is usually suspicious of new foods, so she must first inspect it carefully.  It’d be nice if she could get a job with the FDA to bring in some extra income.

Once the inspection is done, it’s okay for a quick test lick, followed by a quick grab of the cake while running to the comfort of your bed.

Beau on the other hand is a bit more trusting.  He’s never seen a pup cake that he didn’t like.  So run in, grab it and run.  Now you see it….

…. Now you don’t!

While Beau systematically destroyed his cake in a matter of minutes….

…. it took Belle about 15 minutes to get to this point.

But nothing good comes without a price.  Beau wasn’t feeling so hot after wolfing down his food so quick.

But do you think that stopped him from impatiently waiting for Belle to finish?  Of course not!

All around the cakes were a hit, and Belle celebrated her birthday in gourmet style.  So Beau put on his happy face and took this picture for Belle as a birthday gift:

P.S. – In case you were wondering, Beau did finally get to gorge on those crumbs he was so impatiently waiting for.
