Who says dogs can't climb trees?

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

It's been a while, unfortunately. I've been incredibly busy working on side projects for some very important clients. Beau and Belle have been quite supportive of the recent long nights. I get cold noses on my neck, licks on my hands, and deep quiet stares while sitting at my desk. Both dogs seem to have found a new cozy place to sleep up in the office, which they previously avoided.

Winter Wonderland

Now that everyone has forgotten about the snow and moved on to the 80 degree temperatures we had this past weekend, I figured I would finally slog my way to the computer and post some overdue pictures.

Beau has been asking me to let him teach a class on proper snow play etiquette.  So now I step aside and turn the floor over to Professor Beau.

I am Professor Beau, I will be teaching you today.  Now pay attention class.

When posing for a statue, be sure to hold still.  Tail up, ears back, muscles flexed.  Now hold it….

beau4

When stalking your prey, be sure to sneak across the top of the snow.  Slowly, quietly….

No matter how hard you try, you can never outrun your shadow, even in the snow.

When the camera is on you, be sure to smile.  Kick up snow for better effect.  Humans love this.

Humans cannot run while tilting sideways.  Do this and you are sure to get a picture snapped.

If you have a crazy sister, be sure to frame pictures of her pretending she’s a bunny.

belle4

Take pictures of your sister looking possessed.  Use later for blackmail.

When running keep the legs tucked close to the body for optimum speed.  Tuck those legs in Belle!

10

Practice bouncing around the yard.  This is to ensure your belly doesn’t get wet in 10” inches of snow.  Humans love this too.

13

Run around crazy and kick up more snow.

No Diving!

Lastly, be sure to play with your sister, no matter how much cooler you are than she is.

That’s all for now class.  Thank you for your time.  Your homework is 10 pictures in the snow, due next winter.  Class dismissed!
