My eyeballs

Hello, blog world; Professor Beau here, again.

I’m afraid I don’t have any new lessons for you today, but I’m writing to share my experience at the vet earlier this week.

Poppa told me that I had to go see the doggy doctor for a check up.  I remember the last time I went, and I wasn’t too happy about it.  The last time I visited (Poppa says it was October) they cleaned my teeth and examined my eyes.  I had a thin film of skin growing across my right eye, but fortunately it was nothing serious.  The removed it and my eye was really red and hurt for a few days.  Daddy had to squirt some cold liquid in my eyes everyday to make them feel better.

Poppa said that I needed to go back to have my eye checked up on to make sure I wasn’t having any problems.  I’m glad because I really like looking at birds and squirrels.  I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t see them.  Plus if I couldn’t see my sister Belle running around, I couldn’t nibble on her ears!  That’s my favorite :)

When we got to the vet I met a black lab puppy; he was really cute.  Then I met the lady behind the desk who wanted to pet me.  However, daddy said it wasn’t polite for me to have my feet on the counter, so I had to get down.

Then they weighed me.  Poppa was really happy because he said I’m at a good weight now.  He was calling me Mr. Fatso before, but now I’m 76 lbs and can eat all I want, including Belle’s ears!

The doctor was really nice, I like him a lot.  He showed daddy my ear canal, through some instrument they stuck inside my ears.  The doc also put some fluorescent green liquid in my eyes and then showed poppa.  They turned off all the lights and then shined a bright light in my eyes.  The good news is, the doctor said my eyes are fine now!  He said I will have a little bit of scar tissue, but there was no new growth or infection to be concerned about.

This really is the best news ever!  The first thing I did when I got home was ran over to Belle and chewed on her ears!
